Latino Advocacy Day
In March of 2024, FLOWS invited residents of Boulder County, including members of San Lazaro mobile home community, to the three-day Latino Advocacy Day event, hosted by COLOR and Voces Unidas. Attendees were informed about and discussed local bills that may impact Latinx communities distinctly and were connected with their local representatives.
FLOWS supported San Lazaro residents in sharing their personal stories and asking their local representatives for support for their ongoing two decades long clean water crisis.
We cannot wait to go back next year and help support other Frontline community members in advocating and speaking to their needs.
